– What's your commission fee for artists?
For those who sign up before the launch our commission fee will be just 10%.
We plan to introduce a reward programme: more orders you complete, less our commission fee becomes.
– When are you launching?
The project is in full speed of development, we plan to go live by the end of the year.
Meanwhile, we are pre-registering interested artists who will benefit from an exclusive low commission fee.
Sign up and we'll let you know as soon as we're ready.
– What does “cheaper than you think” mean to artists?
We feel there's a perception that bespoke artwork is expensive. We want to bring affordable
custom artwork to the mass market. And we believe there are lots of talents who can do excellent work for a reasonable
price presented upfront and don't put off customers by “price on request” tags.
It's like when you order a meal from your favourite takeaway shop: it's for everyone,
it doesn't take long to prepare, it's affordable and it's not a bad quality at all.
– How do buyers receive their artwork?
We currently focus on digital artwork. Buyers will be receiving a download link
to your completed work, whether its a high-quality scan or a vector file. Physical artwork shipment is planned
in the future.
– Do artists keep the copyright of their work and can it be used for commercial purposes?
By default the copyright belongs to the artist. We will provide an option for artists to charge extra
if they wish to sell the copyright for their artwork.
– Do I get to communicate with a buyer/artist directly?
Our platform will have an online chat, where buyers and artists will be able to agree order details
and communicate any changes or questions.
– How do artists get paid for their work?
We are currently working out the best payout options, including PayPal and bank transfer.
Payments for your completed orders will be securely processed by our platform, then transferred to your chosen payout account.
– Is your site going to be similar to Elance or Behance?
We see Pixel Takeaway being THE marketplace where artists draw on demand: focused on consumers
who are looking for custom artwork, offering transparency in pricing and simple user interface, rather than being an all-in-one
online portfolio site with additional features. Our principle is: do one thing and do it very well.
– How secure is your platform?
We use the latest encryption technologies to both transfer and store your data. Our system and infrastructure
are all PCI compliant, meaning it follows international standards for online business security.
– Where can I find contract between buyer and artist?
Prior to registering, both artists and buyers will have to agree to terms and conditions.
Agreement will describe responsibilities and rights of both buyers and artists.
– I'm a photographer, can I sell my existing photos on your website?
No, but you can do photo restoration and retouching for our buyers.
